CLASSES
We teach classes to students from age 3 through adult and are currently offering classes in the following:
Creative Movement (ages 3-5) - All Creative Movement Classes include music and movement activities and pre-ballet steps. Students in level 2 classes will also be introduced to tap dance.
- Creative Dance 1 classes are designed for 3- and 4-year olds. Each class is 30 minutes long.
- Creative Dance 2 classes are designed for 4- and 5-year olds. Each class is 45 minutes long.
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in Creative Dance 1 OR Creative Dance 2 will be expected to wear the following:
- GIRLS: leotard, tights, and ballet skirts (any colors or styles are acceptable). Girls should also wear pink ballet shoes.
- BOYS: plain t-shirt and sweatpants or shorts (any colors or styles EXCEPT for denim shorts are acceptable) and black ballet shoes.
- All students enrolloed in Creative Dance 2 classes will also be expected to wear black tap shoes.

Combination Classes (ages 5-8) - All Combination Classes are 60 minutes long and include an introduction to formal ballet instruction along with 30 minutes of tap class.
- Tiny Tot 3 classes are designed for 5- and 6-year olds
- Small Fry Combo classes are designed for 6- to 8-year olds. Class levels range in difficulty; higher-numbered classes indicate a greater level of difficulty than lower-numbered classes.
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in all Combination Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- GIRLS: leotard, tights, and ballet skirts (any colors or styles are acceptable). Girls should also wear pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
- BOYS: plain t-shirt and sweatpants or shorts (any colors or styles EXCEPT for denim shorts are acceptable) and black ballet shoes and black ballet shoes.

Ballet (ages 8 & up) - All Ballet Classes teach the fundamentals of barre and center work using the Vagonova ballet technique. Ballet classes help students to acquire correct body placement and are a precursor for proper development in all other forms of dance. Class levels range in difficulty; higher-numbered classes indicate a greater level of difficulty than lower-numbered classes.
- Ballet 1 (ages: 8 and older)
- Ballet 2 (ages: 9 and older)
- Ballet 3 (ages: 10 and older)
- Ballet 4 (ages: 11 and older)
- Ballet 5 (ages: 12 and older)
- Ballet 6 (ages: 13 and older)
- Ballet 7 (ages: 14 and older)
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in all Ballet Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Black leotard, pink tights, pink or white classical ballet shoes (leather or canvas)
- Ballet skirts are OPTIONAL, but students will NOT be allowed to wear shorts or dance pants over leotards
- Hair must be pulled back off of student's face, preferably in a tight bun. Loose hair should be secured with hair pins
- Students will NOT be allowed to wear ANY jewelry.

Lyrical (ages 10 & up) - Lyrical is designed for students ages 12 and older. Lyrical is a contemporary and expressive form of dance incorporating jazz and ballet techniques. After an extensive warm-up, students learn isolation control, balance, and extension through progressions and combinations.

Students enrolled in all Ballet Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- GIRLS: leotard, tights, and ballet skirts or jazz pants (any colors or styles are acceptable). Girls should also wear pink ballet shoes or bare feet.
- BOYS: plain t-shirt and jazz pants, sweatpants or shorts (any colors or styles EXCEPT for denim shorts are acceptable) and black ballet shoes or bare feet.

Pointe (by audition only) - Pointe is designed for technically-advanced ballet students who have gained enough strength in his or her knees, feet, and ankles. Students are placed in this class by audition only.
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Student enrolled in all Ballet Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Black leotard, pink tights, pink or white classical ballet shoes (leather or canvas), pink pointe shoes
- Ballet skirts are OPTIONAL, but students will NOT be allowed to wear shorts or dance pants over leotards
- Hair must be pulled back off of student's face, preferably in a tight bun. Loose hair should be secured with hair pins
- Students will NOT be allowed to wear ANY jewelry

- Totally Tap is a 60-minute class designed for 8- to 12-year olds.
- Teen Tap is a 60-minute class designed for 12- through 15-year olds.
- Adult Tap is a 45-minute class designed for students 18 and older.

Students enrolled in all Tap Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- GIRLS: leotard, tights, and ballet skirts (any colors or styles are acceptable). Girls should also wear pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes
- BOYS: plain t-shirt and sweatpants or shorts (any colors or styles EXCEPT for denim shorts are acceptable) and black ballet shoes and black ballet shoes
- ADULTS: comfortable dancewear and black tap shoes

Jazz (ages 8 & up) - All Jazz Classes are designed for students ages 9 and older. Students should have some Ballet experience before enrolling in a jazz class. Classes consist of isolated warm-ups, technical progressions, and graded combinations. Class levels range in difficulty; higher-numbered classes indicate a greater level of difficulty than lower-numbered classes.
- Jr. Jazz is a 60-minute class designed for 8- to 12-year olds.
- Teen Jazz is a 60-minute class designed for 12- through 15-year olds.
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in all Jazz Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Comfortable dancewear (tank tops, jazz pants) and jazz shoes.

Modern (ages 10 & up) - Modern dance incorporates ballet and lyrical jazz techniques. It focuses on breath, extension, body control and expression. It will include a technical warmup, progressions, and combinations.

Students enrolled in Modern Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Comfortable attire and no shoes

Hip Hop (ages 10 & up) - All Hip Hop Classes are designed for students ages 10 and older. These 60-minute classes teach street-style jazz through condensed isolations and pop-and-lock combinations. Hip Hop classes are taught to today's hottest R&B and pop music. Class levels range in difficulty; higher-numbered classes indicate a greater level of difficulty than lower-numbered classes.
- Hip Hop 1 (ages: 10 and older)
- Hip Hop 2 (ages: 11 and older)
- Hip Hop 3 (ages: 12 and older)
- Hip Hop 4 (ages: 13 and older)
- Hip Hop 5 (ages: 14 and older)
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in Hip Hop Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Comfortable dancewear (tank tops, jazz pants) and jazz shoes or clean street shoes
- Denim jeans or inappropriate clothing should NOT be worn

Boys Tap & Hip Hop (ages 6 & up) - Hey Boys - This one's for you! This new class is designed for beginner level boys only. It starts off with a quick body warm up of isolations and stretching. Next, the boys learn the basics of hip hop including pop and lock movements and floor work. Then they will learn street style tap techniques and rhythms.
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in Boys Tap & Hip Hop Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Exercise attire, taps shoes and clean street sneakers

Breakdance/Freestyle (ages 10 & up) - Breakdance/Freestyle Classes are designed for students ages 10 and older. This 60-minute class expands upon hip hop's street-style jazz through condensed isolations and pop-and-lock combinations. It also introduces "old school" movements made popular in the 1980's and allows students to develop his or her own sense of style during "Freestyle Jam Sessions".
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in Breakdance/Freestyle Classes will be expected to wear the following:
- Comfortable dancewear (tank tops, jazz pants) and jazz shoes or clean street shoes
- Denim jeans or inappropriate clothing should NOT be worn

Stretch-and-Strengthen (ages 9 & up) - Stretch and Strengthen is designed for students ages 9 and older. This class incorporates the use of light weights and stretches that elongate, strengthen, and tone the muscles, thereby creating greater flexibility and a firmer, more-toned appearance. Stretch and Strengthen is a great class for both dancers and non-dancers -- not to mention dancers' moms!
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in all Stretch and Strengthen will be expected to wear the following:
- Comfortable dancewear or workout apparel and bare feet

Adult Classes (ages 18 & older) - All Adult Classes are designed for beginning- to intermediate-level dancers, ages 18 and older.
- Adult Ballet/Jazz is a 60-minute class that combines the fundamentals of barre and center work using the Vagonova ballet technique and isolated warm-ups, technical progressions, and graded combinations of Jazz.
- Adult Hip Hop is a 60-minute class that teaches street-style jazz through condensed isolations and pop-and-lock combinations. Hip Hop classes are taught to today's hottest R&B and pop music.

- Adult Hip Hop: comfortable dancewear (tank tops, jazz pants) and jazz shoes or clean gym shoes
- Adult Tap: comfortable dancewear and black tap shoes

Mommy & Me Classes
This class is designed for 18 months - 3 year olds and their parent. Students should be interested in music and movement. Classes are taught to introduce both parent and child to basic pre-ballet steps, learn how to mimic and follow directions and to enjoy being together. Dancers and parents should wear easy to move in exercise gear and ballet shoes or clean gym shoes.

Competition Teams (by audition only) - All Team Classes are designed for advanced dancers who are ready to enter the world of dance competitions. Placement is by audition only.
Students can audition for one or more of the following teams:
- Junior Jazz Team (ages 8-12)
- Junior Tap Team (ages 8-12)
- Intermediate Jazz Team (ages 11-14)
- Intermediate Tap Team (ages 11-14)
- Senior Jazz Team (ages 13-17)
- Senior Tap Team (ages 13-17)
- IMPACT Dance Company (ages 14-17)
Class Dress Code Requirements:
Students enrolled in Competition Team Classes are given class dress code requirements upon placement
